Food + Babies = messy!

So we've decided to give Baby Led Weaning a try. It's certainly entertaining! Since the wee girl turned six months this past Wednesday, we've given avocado, squash, yams and apples a try. I think that the apples and avocado are so far her favorite. Regardless of how much actually goes in!

As a friend of mine put it, why should a highly processed rice cereal be our girl's first non-breastmilk food? Especially now, when most of her nutrition still comes from breastmilk. Why feed her a food that is highly fortified with less digestible iron, when breastmilk provides lots of highly digestible iron?

Anyhow, without turning this blog into a mommy blog, it's something we're trying right now! :) Perhaps I'll get into emotional stuff sometime soon! That is, if I find the time!

Blogging? Is it still for me?

Wow, the past few months have brought so much to me and my new little family. It's so hard to believe that this week my little girl will be six months old. It's even harder to believe that in less than four months I will be going back to work. I know now that I don't want to go back to work. The only thing making it easier is the fact that Thom will be here with the wee one for two months before our government funded leave ends.

As for blogging, is it for me any more? I still see this as a place to write my true feelings and to let those of you who still care (are you still there?) in on things going on in my life.

But I hardly have enough time to send pictures to friends and family, let alone have me time. And when I have me time, the first thing on my list of things to do is not blogging.

I guess only time will tell.
