Long story short:
__- we were lucky that we've had a lot of rain this year... otherwise we probably would have
___ pushed our canoe more than paddled it on the second day
__- all the dehydrated food worked out amazingly well!! GO ME!

__- we saw up to 30 or so loons
__- we saw about 15 blue herons
__- we saw two moose (or parts of them... me... I saw ears)
__- we were SOOOOOOOOOOOOO lucky with the weather
____-considering we booked this trip back in April, we really lucked out with sun filled days
_____for 80% of our trip!

__- we saw a muskrat
__- we re-learned that a water filter is REALLY important and it really sucks when it breaks...
__- we learned that Lake Lavieille can be a real peach with a strong north wind

__- we saw some amazingly huge (i.e., 35m tall) white pines
__- we saw some 350 year old red pines
__- we saw some super cool and huge hemlocks
__- we did a 5300m (3.3 miles) portage in 1 hour and 42 minutes. ROCK ON!
The trip was really amazing and halfway through it I was already wishing it was longer. Considering it was our first just the two of us... I can see this being the first of many!
